Exciting News… We’ve been shortlisted as finalist for the 2021 Bristol Life Awards!

We are so excited to announce that Ocean Adventurers have been named as a finalist for the 2021 Bristol Life Awards, celebrating the best of Bristol.
The Bristol Life Awards are the business highlight of the city and are the most prestigious and tightly contested awards with the greatest number of local business. Winning Bristol Life Awards is a powerful accolade and for those of you that can remember, we won last years Best New Business Award, so we are so super excited to be a finalist this year too! The Leisure and Tourism Category, is all about the enjoyment in the City and we hope that Ocean Adventurers certainly brings enjoyment, packed with fun for all your little ones needs. As part of our award entry, we were asked to demonstrate what we have been able to accomplish this year and how we responded to the pandemic.
When we were able to reopen on 15 August 2020, we did so with less than 48 hours’ notice and were one of the only indoor play sites in the UK to reopen. We worked through the night to get our doors open, driven mainly by our desire to ease the burden that the pandemic has disproportionately had on children.
Supporting Key Workers was also high on our priority list and during the November lockdown, we were able to set up a weekend childcare club, helping key workers go to work.
After November came Christmas, the most magical time of the year for children and yet the Pandemic was closing Christmas Grottos across the county. We knew we had to step in and bring Christmas back so we set up a COVID-secure grotto at Ocean Adventurers with a quirky ocean theme and good mechanical ventilation to ensure all our visitors had the magical Christmas they deserved.
